Prayer of the Week

O Christ, our Teacher,
you invite Your faithful people to make disciples in Your name and to announce good news to the poor. We thank You for the gift of Catholic schools, where the message of Your life, death, and resurrection is proclaimed,
Christian community is experienced,
service to our brothers and sisters is modeled,
and worship of You is cultivated.
Increase our zeal for ensuring that all children and families can benefit from a high quality Catholic education, and that Catholic schools grow in their ability to nurture the soul of our nation.
We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady, Mother of Catholic Schools.

 Our Mission

Mary of Lourdes School is Christ-centered and dedicated to excellence
in education by developing the whole person,
integrating our Catholic faith with daily life.

We are looking forward to the beginning of a new school year!  Starting this year without our beloved friend, Mr. Jeff, will be difficult.  To help us through, and to honor him, we have designed a special tie-dye t-shirt.  We will be wearing these shirts for a tree planting this fall during school and on "Tie-Dye Thursdays" throughout the year.   If you would like to order any shirts for your family, use link below.  Orders may be placed now through September 9th.  The shirts should arrive at the school by September 20th.

Please join us on Wednesday, August 29th for our Open House at both buildings.

Grades K - 4: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Grades 5 & 6: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Grades 7 & 8: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Preschool families will be mailed a letter soon stating what time they should arrive on the 29th.

K-4 teachers will mail welcome postcards to students soon.  If your child does not receive this by 8/27, please call the elementary office at 632-5408.

Mary of Loudes School would like to extend a warm welcome to our new principal, Mrs. Jodi Vanderheiden.  Mrs. Vanderheiden comes from Sacred Heart School in East Grand Forks, Mn where she was principal there for the past two years.  She has been working hard since the beginning of July as our new principal getting ready for the upcoming school year and looks forward to meeting everyone at the Fall Open House Wednesday, August 29th.

Mary of Lourdes offers a strong faith-filled environment with high academic standards and small class sizes.  It is also a Preschool-Gr.8 accredited school. Our mission statement notes, “Mary of Lourdes School is Christ-centered and dedicated to excellence in education by developing the whole person; integrating our Catholic faith with daily life.”  It is our goal at MOLS is to educate the whole child (the cognitive, emotional, physical and, equally important, the spiritual growth) and engage each student in the classroom in his or her uniqueness.

Please call the Mary of Lourdes Middle School office (632-6742) to schedule a visit to either school campus and receive a school information / registration packet.  MOL offers tuition scholarships to those who could benefit from assistance.

Mary of Lourdes Middle School offers a partnership program with area Homeschool families for the second year. MOLMS invites families to learn more about the variety of courses offered throughout the year that homeschool middle schoolers may enroll in.  Besides the core curriculum classes, Mary of Lourdes also offers general music, band, choir, and Spanish, as well as extra curricular programs (such as Jazz band, One-act plays, Knowledge Bowl, Speech festival, Student Council, and Softball).  Grades 5-8 homeschool children may take any number of classes that parents are interested in registering their children in (quarterly or yearly) at a prorated tuition cost.  Mary of Lourdes is a Catholic, accredited school through the MN Nonpublic School Accrediting Association.  To find out more about this partnership program, please contact Mary Sowada, Assistant Principal:  632-5408 or msowada@molschool.org
